Thai Yoga Massage
Thai Yoga Massage is an ancient healing art that has roots in the Indian healing system of Ayurveda from over 2,500 years ago. It combines massage, stretching, reflexology and joint mobilization in a rhythmic fashion.... promoting a deep state of relaxation and calm. The holistic approach of Thai Massage increases the flow of energy through the body and loosens muscles and connective tissue, which helps to improve common conditions such as back pain, arthritis, headaches, digestive difficulties and stress-related conditions. It is performed while dressed in comfortable, loose-fitting clothing and is sometimes referred to as Thai-Assisted Yoga Therapy, Traditional Thai Massage or simply Thai Massage. Some even call it "Yoga that is done to you"! It is a wonderful and unique massage experience….very relaxing yet revitalizing. You need to try it to believe it!
Reflexology
Reflexology is a natural healing art whereby stimulation and pressure applied to reflex areas on the feet, but also the hands and ears, facilitates a sense of deep relaxation and tension release, including a renewal of the mind and body, while simultaneously improving circulation and the natural function and healing of the related areas of the body. The reflex areas correlate with all organs, glands and areas of the body. Reflexology provides these benefits without any adverse side effects. The feet are the area of our bodies that typically take the most "abuse", wear & tear, and neglect, therefore the release of built-up tension in the feet is a very welcome treat. They are the furthest point from our brains and therefore are usually given the least attention, but WOW, when they do get the attention…what a difference it can make in our body's ability to heal and restore equilibrium. Reflexologists do not diagnose, cure specific conditions or prescribe medications. Gentle Reflexology treatments are particularly useful during pregnancy, since the added weight and pressure on the feet often compound some of the normal discomforts and symptoms of pregnancy. Reflexology is a perfect complement to your yoga practice.
